Which aspect of our daily lives has been affected most by technology?

A matter of concern which is highly clear for everyone is the uncontrollable advances of technology. Although it is not a novelty due to the Industrial Revolution started two centuries ago, it is under no doubt that lately it is at its height. So that, this essay aims to analyse the vast impact caused by it in areas like communication or working life.

An immediate effect easily appreciated is which has taken place in factories and other jobs that could involve using machines. What is more, it has been really useful in hard chores related to the massive production or the extraction of raw materials. Nevertheless, not everybody agrees with this, despite its advantages, it also represents a cut down on the number of workers required. For this reason, the owners have benefited from new inventions but a lot of workers have lost their jobs, more of them claim we are suffering from a “robotization” of society.

However, not all are huge machines but also the most sophisticated gadgets like computers, smartphones or the leader of the current civilization: The internet. If it were not to exist we wouldn't  live as we do, it is the key to the “Globalisation” a social revolution that has utterly changed our lifestyle. Nowadays, we can connect with anyone, meet easily new people and also it is a fantastic tool to help out when a natural disaster or an accident happens. Nonetheless, it could be dangerous and some people have suffered from psychological illnesses because their minds are not ready to face up to the excess of information available, which is sometimes controversial, in addition to the huge variety of networks which affect our more personal decisions.

On balance, I decide to stand out the second argument since it could have an enormous impact on humanity to how we will evolve from now. This is an urgent matter to take on serious consideration because it has been proved that we are not capable of controlling it, or in contrast to popular belief, it could be possible that governments are currently watching over us with it.
