This report
aims to get the attention of foreign to visit the fantastic villages which are
settled in the centre of Spain. With this thought in mind, they will be
described, and also, it will be detailed the relevance of them in the Spanish
culture and how they could be known.
THEIR PECULIAR CHARACTERISTICS
It is
important to clarify that they are not abandoned, rather than, they are
partially populated mainly with ancients and a few adults. However, this fact
does not avoid them to be marvelous places where you can enjoy the beautiful countryside
and really interesting wildlife. Characteristics very appreciated these days,
because of the increasing pollution and overpopulation in many countries.
SIGNIFICANCE TO THE COUNTRY
They are a
significant part of our culture, and consequently, visiting them, you can learn
a lot, not only about the animal and plant’s species but also about the ancient
ways of living which are still existing there. I remember going to a village
where it was typical doing a vegetables’ contest in which agriculturers come
with their best crops and strange pieces like big watermelons or fruit with
eerie colours.
RECOMMENDATIONS
I strongly
recommend visiting them to have fun with the traditional customs and to meet
really interesting people who seem to be provincial but who know more about
life than we could imagine. Although they are deteriorated and in need of more
young habitants, this could be reached if tourism is increased.
